硅酸钠在造纸应用中存在的问题

硅酸钠是无机硅化合物行业中产量大的基础原料,广泛地应用于化学、造纸、焊接、洗涤日化、铸造、冶金、催化、涂料、包装等行业。由于硅酸钠本身具有一定的碱性,同时其水溶液有缓冲pH值作用,而且水解产生的胶束结构的硅酸具有分散、乳化、悬浮油墨以及钝化金属离子的作用,因此硅酸钠在造纸废纸脱墨及常规过氧化氢漂白中有着广泛的应用。

但是直接应用于造纸中的硅酸钠也有不足之处,在脱墨与过氧化氢漂白应用中会在设备和管道内形成硅垢,对浆料流送产生阻碍,缩短停机清洗及更换设备部件的周期,降低生产效率。

硅酸钠在碱性条件下是相对稳定的,随着在脱墨或漂白应用过程中的pH值的降低,硅酸钠逐渐失去稳定性,与浆液中的钙离子等结合成硅酸盐沉淀粘附到金属表面,形成垢层。
Sodium silicate is relatively stable under alkaline conditions. As the pH value decreases during deinking or bleaching applications, sodium silicate gradually loses its stability and combines with calcium ions in the slurry to form silicate precipitates that adhere to the metal surface, forming a scale layer.
硅酸钠
在过氧化氢漂白中添加硫酸镁或将硫酸镁和过氧化氢与硅酸钠、氢氧化钠分前后顺序加入,可防止结垢的发生。
Adding magnesium sulfate or sequentially adding magnesium sulfate and hydrogen peroxide with sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide in hydrogen peroxide bleaching can prevent scaling.
当钙离子与镁离子同时存在时,硅酸钠优先与镁离子反应生成硅酸镁沉淀,这种沉淀物是软性的,滑石状,并不粘附于不锈钢表面,但是硅酸钙沉淀却会在金属表面形成垢层。

另外,通过加入氢氧化钠来降低硅酸钠的模数,在废纸脱墨中同样也起到控制结垢的目的。
